Three people were killed in a traffic accident that occurred in the early hours of the morning in central Athens.

According to reports, the accident occurred at around 1:30 a.m. at the intersection of Moustoxydi Street and Alexandras Avenue, when two motorcycles collided and then crashed into a parked car.

Three people, all of whom were riding the two motorcycles, were killed in the violent collision.

According to initial reports, the victims were a 51-year-old man, a 27-year-old woman, and another woman, whose identity has not yet been made public.

Ambulances from the National Emergency Aid Centre (EKAB) arrived at the scene and transported the victims to the Red Cross Hospital, where they were pronounced dead.

The Traffic Police are conducting a preliminary investigation into the exact circumstances of the crash. According to reports, none of the three people were wearing helmets, while the rider of one of the motorcycles may have run a red light.
