Donald Trump unveiled designs for the new uniforms of the U.S. Space Force through his Truth Social platform.
The uniforms feature gray and black tones and display the Space Force’s official insignia on caps, belts and clothing.
The design sparked a range of comments online because of its resemblance to uniforms from the films Starship Troopers and Star Wars, as well as Nazi uniforms.

Donald Trump established the U.S. Space Force in December 2019, during his first term in the White House.
Recently, plans were also announced for the creation of a new military Space Academy to train future experts in the field.
Donald Trump revealed on Sunday (September 6), in a post on Truth Social, what the uniforms of the U.S. Space Force will look like. The uniforms immediately went viral, with many people noting their resemblance to Nazi uniforms and those featured in the famous Star Wars films.
Everybody knows you don't get any respect in space without the knee-high leather boots.

Also here's a nazi SS uniform for no reason in particular. https://t.co/Fo80GWooJO pic.twitter.com/8S9dOIeMjy
Gray and black are the dominant colors, along with various shades of both. The insignia bearing the Space Force logo, pinned to the uniforms, caps and belts, is particularly prominent.
According to the New York Post, the uniforms resemble those featured in the 1997 film Starship Troopers. The movie, based on Robert Heinlein’s militaristic novel, is set in the 23rd century, when humanity is waging an intergalactic war against giant insect-like extraterrestrials known as Arachnids.
Similar uniforms were also worn by the Nazis, as well as by the admirals of the Star Destroyers in George Lucas’s films. Internet users were quick to comment on the posts, joking about the resemblance.

Pubblica questa come possibile uniforme “next generation” della US Space Force.
Nella grafica c’è scritto esplicitamente che il design è ispirato alla “Starship Trooper uniform”. Cioè proprio Starship Troopers di Paul Verhoeven.

“PERFECT, you’re going for a Galactic Empire! May the Force be with you, lol!” one person wrote, while another added: “It looks exactly like the Imperial Army officer uniform from Star Wars.”
It should be recalled that Trump established the United States Space Force (USSF) in December 2019, during his first term in the White House. Last month, he announced plans to establish a new military Space Academy aimed at training the next generation of civilian and military experts in the aerospace field.
“You think of West Point, you think of Annapolis, you think of the Air Force Academy and you think of the Coast Guard Academy. It’s great. They’re all great, but now we’re going to have one [academy] for the Space Force.”

In another post on the platform, the U.S. president is portrayed as the commander of a U.S. Space Force spacecraft. The crew, wearing the service’s distinctive uniforms, can be seen aboard the vessel. In the background, explosions are visible in various parts of the planet, apparently at his command.
