Alarming Intelligence Assessments: Bin Laden’s son staged his death in 2019, is alive & planning new attacks

A new intelligence report presents alarming revelations that could revive large-scale terrorist attacks in the West. According to the report, Osama bin Laden’s eldest son allegedly staged his death in 2019 with the help of al-Qaeda and a ruthless criminal faction that has been described as the “Sopranos of Afghanistan.”

According to the assessments in the report, published by the Mirror, 37-year-old Hamza bin Laden has secretly built a network of operatives across Asia and Africa over the years and is now planning attacks against the West.

Known as the “Prince and Heir Apparent of Terrorism,” Hamza bin Laden was killed in an airstrike in 2019, according to an announcement made by Donald Trump himself. However, according to the report’s assessments, his death was staged by al-Qaeda, the network behind the September 11 attacks, in which approximately 3,000 people lost their lives and which marked the beginning of the United States’ 20-year “War on Terror.”

As can easily be understood, following reports of Hamza’s reappearance, the organization is allegedly once again developing into a serious security threat. In fact, according to the assessment, the United Kingdom remains firmly in the terrorist network’s sights because of its military cooperation with the United States, its colonial history in the Middle East, its relations with Israel and its business ties with the Gulf states.

Overall, according to the intelligence report, the West could once again face mass-casualty attacks, lone-actor attacks, kidnappings, assassinations, acts of sabotage and targeted attacks against political or other high-ranking figures.

“The United Kingdom faces a converging threat. Al-Qaeda has historically maintained an interest in Britain as a military ally of the United States, regardless of the government in power,” the report states.

The Staged Death

According to the same sources, al-Qaeda allegedly deceived the CIA into believing that Hamza had been killed because it knew that its communications were being monitored. Bin Laden’s son had been prepared by former al-Qaeda leader Ayman al-Zawahiri to take over the leadership.

Following an airstrike that, according to the report, had CIA support, Zawahiri allegedly instructed Hamza’s inner circle to announce his death through telephone conversations.

The Haqqani Network, an armed criminal organization that has been described as the “Sopranos of Afghanistan” and wields significant influence over the Taliban, is also alleged to have contributed to the deception operation.

Zawahiri, an Egyptian doctor who rose to become a leading figure in terrorism, allegedly instructed Hamza’s associates to speak openly on the telephone about his supposed death, so that those monitoring the conversations would be convinced that the information was genuine.

When Zawahiri himself was killed in a U.S. strike on the balcony of a residence in Kabul in 2022, Hamza bin Laden allegedly rose through the ranks and took control of the network.

According to the report, Hamza is seeking revenge and has allegedly established terrorist training camps in various parts of Afghanistan. At the same time, he is alleged to have developed contacts with the Iranian armed forces, Hamas, ISIS and dozens of other armed organizations. As described, the former British military headquarters in Helmand province, Camp Bastion, was used as a training site for various organizations, including Hamas before the October 7 attack.

Britain and the U.S. Are the Main Targets

The growing threat from al-Qaeda is assessed to be particularly relevant to the United Kingdom and the United States. “The overall assessment is that the strategic jihadist threat to the United Kingdom, continental Europe, the United States and allied interests has entered a new phase of heightened alert,” the report states.

According to the assessment, Hamza’s network has the capability to facilitate extensive terrorist activity and destabilization in the West, taking advantage of the new network being developed by al-Qaeda. “The resulting risk includes externally directed attacks with large numbers of casualties, remotely supported plots, attacks by individuals inspired by the organization, targeting of aviation and other transportation, as well as attacks against Jewish and Israeli targets,” the report adds.

The operations also include political assassinations, as well as “hostage-taking, the facilitation of operations through cyberspace and exploitation of the social polarization caused by the wars in Gaza and the Middle East.”

Bolstered by Hamza’s name and lineage, al-Qaeda has allegedly, according to the report, further developed the mythology surrounding Osama bin Laden following his killing by U.S. special forces in 2011.

“Hamza bin Laden’s value to al-Qaeda is ideological, dynastic and operational. As the son of Osama bin Laden, he provides a direct link to the movement’s founding mythology,” the intelligence document states, adding: “Before the reported counterterrorism operation, Hamza had already been used to call for attacks against the United States and its allies, encourage revenge for his father’s death and present himself as the successor to al-Qaeda’s global cause.”

They Never Produced a Body

In September 2019, when it was announced that Hamza had been killed, no body was ever presented following the counterterrorism operation.

“Further information and sources concluded that family telephone conversations had been manipulated to reinforce the intelligence that had been intercepted and that the result was to remove Hamza from the active target list, while in reality he remained under protection,” the report claims.

On November 14, 2022, Hamza was allegedly officially appointed emir, meaning leader of al-Qaeda. The appointment allegedly took place at the rebuilt al-Farouq camp in Kandahar, which his father had established before it was destroyed.

According to the same sources, representatives of the Taliban, the Haqqani Network, Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan, as well as representatives of organizations from Africa and Syria, attended the meeting.

The intelligence assessment concludes that the United Kingdom must take the renewed threat from al-Qaeda seriously.

“The key warning is that al-Qaeda should no longer be assessed as a defeated organization of the past,” it emphasizes. “It has retained patience, experienced senior figures, regional branches and a powerful name. Taliban-controlled Afghanistan provides it with strategic depth, while the conflict in Gaza, the competition among states involving Iran, insecurity in the Sahel and online radicalization create opportunities for mobilization. The reappearance of Hamza bin Laden, whether it is primarily operational or symbolic in significance, could bring all these elements together.”
