Nikos Maziotis has been out of prison since Monday, September 14. He had been convicted for participation in the terrorist organization “Revolutionary Struggle.”
Nikos Maziotis was released after fully serving the 20-year sentence imposed on him, having spent 14 years in detention and served an additional six years through work in prison.
Images from the moment of his release were published on Indymedia. As can be seen, people had gathered outside Domokos Prison holding banners in order to welcome him.
Following his release, the U.S. State Department issued a statement emphasizing that he is barred from entering the United States under visa restrictions targeting far-left terrorists.
