Russia appreciates the invitation from the United States for Vladimir Putin to attend the G20 Summit, which will be held in Miami, according to the Kremlin.

“We truly appreciate this invitation and attach great importance to it,” Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said, commenting on the invitation to the Russian president.

However, Moscow made clear that no decision has yet been made on whether Putin will travel to the United States, nor on the possibility of a meeting with US President Donald Trump on the sidelines of the summit.

“It is premature to talk about this at the moment. No decision has yet been made,” the Kremlin said.

At the same time, the Russian side stressed that Moscow intends to continue participating in the work of the G20 and in all international forums held within the framework of the group.

“The matter will be considered and an appropriate decision will then be taken. In any case, Russia intends to continue participating in the work of the G20 and in all forums held under its auspices,” the Kremlin said.
