Anna Vissi’s concert at the Olympic Stadium has begun, with tens of thousands of fans filling OAKA to enjoy a special musical evening dedicated to her greatest hits.

The popular singer took to the stage a few minutes after 21:00, as scheduled, with her song “Aegean”, signaling the start of a show lasting around three hours, with the audience singing along with her.

“You are embracing me so tightly and so uniquely that I will overcome the anxiety” were her first words to the audience before she continued her program with the hits “Excessive Love” and “In Case”. “I want this evening to become something we will all remember. Thank you for being here, let’s experience it together,” she said at another point.

“It is a priceless gift of life. We performed at the Panathenaic Stadium for two years; you wanted OAKA, didn’t you? I keep my promises.”

Anna Vissi descended onto the OAKA stage inside a circular structure, wearing a striking black-and-white full-body suit, with her entrance prompting excitement among the audience that had filled the stadium.

It is noted that the doors of OAKA opened at 17:00, while the pre-show began at around 20:00, with the audience getting into the rhythm with DJ Argy (Argyris Theofilou). The internationally recognised Greek DJ and producer set the tone for the evening ahead of the singer’s appearance, with whom he released the duet “Higher and Higher” in the summer.

A special surprise of the evening was the participation of Greek-Australian guitarist Orianthi, whom Michael Jackson had selected in 2009 for the “This Is It” concerts.

The rain that fell in Athens early on Saturday afternoon (26/9) did not deter the audience, who began arriving at OAKA early with raincoats and umbrellas, waiting for the show to begin and remaining in their seats to enjoy the singer’s performance.
