The 13th Tour du Péloponnèse started on Sunday, 4 October, amid the magic of the Ionian Sea and the sandy beach of Kourouta in the Municipality of Ilida!!!

Another interesting year is expected for the TdP, with 85 vehicles at the starting line!!!

Almost all the former winners are present, recalling the history of Greece’s biggest classic car event, from 2014 to the present day.

The term “classic” is not accidental…

In Categories B, C and D (vehicles manufactured up to 1945), we find four vehicles, characteristic examples of the pre-war era which, however anachronistic it may seem to us, produced examples of unique technological interest. The oldest vehicle is the 1917 Ford Model T, followed by the Hungarians Vamos-Kosik with a 1933 MG L type. Particularly notable are the two Lagondas of the British crews Faulkner-Rogers and Hine-Dudley.

Category E (vehicles manufactured up to 1961) is also of interest, with the romantic and distinctive shapes of the golden decade of Rock & Roll. Category E has a total of seven vehicles. Competing in Category E will be the Greek winners of 2020, Arvanitis-Charalambaki, driving a 1956 Austin Healey 100/4. Here we also find the Hungarian champions Levente-Tunde with a 1956 Volvo PV444. Finally, in Category E, we also see a unique 1957 Lancia Aurelia B20s with the capable Zycsynski-Wosnica.

In Category F (vehicles manufactured up to 1971), we find 31 (!!!) vehicles from the romantic era of the 1960s and the technological explosion that accompanied it. This year, the multiple winners Georgosopoulos-Papanikolaou (2021–2023) have chosen to compete in Category F with a 1968 MGB GT. Also here is the British winner of 2016, Julian Bush, taking part with our now-familiar 1964 MGB roadster and co-driver Simon Papworth. The Austrian Mischka-Mischka are taking part with a 1970 Lancia Fulvia Coupe, and they certainly have not come merely for a leisurely drive. The British Papworth-Papworth, regular contenders for the prizes, will compete with the rare 1970 Lancia Fulvia HF Fanalone. Finally, in F, there are also the Austrian champions Artacker-Wastl with a 1966 Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint GT1600.

In total, therefore, we find 44 vehicles built before 1971, a record number that we have not seen for a long time!!!

In Category G (vehicles manufactured up to 1981), we find another 27 vehicles, genuine representatives of the automotive industry of the seventies… In G, the other multiple winners of the TdP (2022, 2024 and 2025), the Austrians Hekerle-Schneider, have also chosen to take part with a 1973 BMW 2002 Touring. In G, we also find the Romanian champions Georgescu-Georgescu, who will drive a 1981 Renault Alpine 5. Also here is a legend of Greek motorsport, Stratis Hatzipanagiotou, our own STRATISSINO, who is honouring us for a second consecutive year, taking on the role of navigator in a 1981 Porsche 911 SC. Finally, the 1972 Maserati Indy of the Italians Paparozzi-Panebianco is impressive.

Another four vehicles in Category H (vehicles manufactured up to 1985) complete the starting list, offering a balanced variety of all schools and periods of motoring. The Ferrari 308 GTSi of Inglesi-Wantennar is particularly impressive here!

Finally, outside the overall classification, there are the carefully selected 10 young-timer vehicles (almost 10% of the total), which in the microcosm of the 13th Tour du Péloponnèse include, according to the regulations, vehicles manufactured from 1986 to 1999.
