The ambitious Netflix production is based on C. S. Lewis’s book of the same name, published in 1955.
The story follows two children from 1950s London: Digory, played by David McKenna, and Polly, played by Beatrice Campbell. They accidentally discover the Wood Between the Worlds, a secret passage leading to Narnia.
Set to the sound of Led Zeppelin’s Stairway to Heaven, the trailer opens with Daniel Craig playing the eccentric magician Andrew Ketterley, who declares that “sometimes, one story is the beginning of all the others”. He then gives the children the magical rings that will lead them into their most enchanting adventures.

The trailer has also made history because it marks the first time Led Zeppelin have permitted the use of their iconic song, released in 1971, according to Deadline. The band shared the video on Instagram, with Jimmy Page expressing his admiration for Gerwig and describing her as “a force in the world of cinema”.
The film’s impressive cast also includes Meryl Streep, Carey Mulligan, Emma Mackey, Denise Gough, Kobna Holdbrook-Smith, Ciarán Hinds and Susan Wokoma.
The film is co-produced by Amy Pascal, Mark Gordon, Vincent Sieber and Gerwig, who also adapted the screenplay.
Narnia: The Magician’s Nephew is expected to arrive in Greek cinemas on 11 February 2027, distributed by Feelgood, before becoming available on Netflix in early April.
