The head of the Anti-Money Laundering Authority, former Deputy Prosecutor of the Supreme Court Charalambos Vourliotis, has given the green light for the reopening of Pizza Fan stores.
Specifically, under an order issued by Mr Vourliotis, two bank accounts have been unfrozen to meet financial obligations not only to employees but also to other creditors, including suppliers, whose claims arose under the chain’s owner, who is currently in pre-trial detention.
Under Mr Vourliotis’s order, in addition to the payroll accounts, which had been exempt from the initial freeze on bank accounts and assets from the outset, other accounts have also been unfrozen to enable the payment of all kinds of liabilities, including payments to suppliers, employer social security contributions, loans and obligations to the state, among others.
