Most Greeks don’t know Princess Maria-Olympia and yet, she’s billed as a Greek royal. The 18-year-old daughter of Crown Princess Marie-Chantal and Crown Prince Pavlos is regularly featured on her mother’s instagram page and on magazines across the world, barring Greece.
Last February’s Tatler bore the title “Teen Princess – Olympia of Greece: The Most Eligible Girl in the World. Kate Middleton was featured the February before.
Born in New York, she lives with her parents and four younger brothers in London where she studies drama, art history, graphics and photography – having obviously acquired her mother’s artistic flare. Her mother, Marie Chantal, had begun a History of Art degree at NYU in 1993 but dropped out to marry the dashing Prince Pavlos in 1995.
In Greece, she may not typically be recognized as a royal, but she definitely leads a royal lifestyle where she is seen at the front row of fashion shows with friends like Emma Watson.
Her hobbies, of course, include horse riding, another royal trait.
And she is often seen on yachts and tropical islands doing what it is that royals do.
Here she is on her dad’s vespa looking royal even though riding a vespa isn’t limited to princesses, unless you count Audrey Hepburn in “Roman Holiday”.
She loves art!
Here she is, being a typical teen by taking a selfie.
The princess even has a mystery boyfriend.
She loves fashion.
It runs in the family.
Skiing is another hobby.
With her youngest brother, 5-year-old Aristidis-Stavros.
She turned 18 in Spain.
She may not be a well-known royal but she does watch her back.
She spends a lot of time with Talita, her first cousin, whose grandmother is designer Diane von Furstenberg and whose mother, Alexandra von Furstenberg works for clothing label DvF.
Despite the age difference, the cousins are great friends.
Another boyfriend – Adrian Schachter, the 17-year-old son of London-based American art dealer Kenny Schachter
Capri, Italy.
