4 things (some) men can learn from ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’

From a clearly educational point of view, these are the 4 things that make Mr. Grey so attractive

Forget “Grexit”… Anastasia Steele, a 21-year-old literature student, and a virgin, meets 27-year-old Christian Grey, an amazingly successful, handsome and intimidating man and, against all odds, falls madly in love.

However, there’s a catch. Mr. Grey has very “eclectic” sexual tastes that involve the creative use of blindfolds, whips, chains and handcuffs.

This is the plot of the much anticipated Fifty Shades of Grey, based on R. L. James’ erotic novel of the same name, which premiered yesterday, getting mixed reviews by the critics.

Despite the doubts about the artistic value of the film, some women who have watched the movie argue that men can learn a lot from the fictional Mr. Grey.

From a clearly “instructional” point of view, these are the 4 things that make Mr. Grey so attractive and irresistible to Anastasia – and women in general — or so goes the hype and Hollywood PR spin for the film.

1. Undivided attention
Mr. Grey is focused on Anastasia and only on Anastasia. He doesn’t squander his sexual energy on other women.

2. Unapologetic passion
He has come to terms with his sexuality. He is clear on what he wants and he is not afraid to claim it.

3. Determination
Christian’s main appeal is not his money or his washboard abs. It is the fact that he will stop at nothing to get what he wants. This is what makes him successful — hopefully not in the fashion of Bernie Madoff or Osama bin Laden.

4. Affection
Grey is unpredictable and this is what makes him irresistible — again, as the narrative goes. His violent side is combined with a sweet and caring side, making him the ideal lover.

Or, as they say in the Lone Star State: Different strokes for different folks (no pun intended)
