SYRIZA leader A. Tsipras appeared upbeat upon his arrival at the trade fair

Former Radical Left Coalition (SYRIZA) prime minister Alexis Tsipras has been in Thessaloniki since early Sunday morning ahead of a speech he is due to give at the 80th Thessaloniki International Trade Fair (TIF) in the evening. He was greeted at the Macedonian airport with limousines that transferred him and his associates to the TIF’s facilities.

Tsipras appeared upbeat and positive as he arrived at the TIF shortly after 11 a.m. where he met with the TIF President Anastasios Tzikas. He gave reassurances that a snap election in two weeks would not result in a fractured result due to the fact that there are still a number of undecided voters.

He said that he would be in power for at least another eight years.

Accompanying the SYRIZA leader are Giannis Dragasakis, Euclid Tsakalotos, Panos Skourletis, Nikos Paraskevopoulos, Panagiotis Kouroumblis, Christos Spirtzis, Giannis Amantidis and others.
