A privately-owned Greek island has been selected among the world’s top 22 by Conde Nast Traveler (CNT) for those who wants “utter seclusion and perfect peace, in a location off-limits to everyone”.
For 6,700 British pounds per week, holidaymakers can rent a privately-owned island and villa at Petalioi complex of islands, 45 minutes from Athens by speedboat.
The island is opposite the ports of Marmari and Karistos , while an in-house chef, full round of staff, organic garden and a calm bay that’s “perfect for swimming or long pied dans l’eau lunches” are included in the price.
Other private islands voted by CNT for their exclusive offerings include Ariara in the Philippines, Zaya Nurai Island, Abu Dhabi, the Brando in French Polynesia, Indonesia’s Pulau Joyo and Nikoi Island, the Tavanipupu Private Island Resort, Solomon Islands, the Inn at Cuckolds Lighthouse in Maine, Nicaragua’s Isleta El Espino, Dolphin Island, Fiji, Necker Island of the British Virgin Islands, Seychelles’ Frégate Island Private and Belize’s Cayo Espanto.
