A Coast Guard operation is currently underway at the sea region southeast of Crete, about 15 nautical miles in Libya’s waters, in order to locate a boat that is carrying approximately 200 refugees and migrants.

The boat sent earlier an SOS and a number of vessels sailing nearby and coast guard patrol vessels rushed to the area.
