President of the Hellenic Republic Prokopis Pavlopoulos, Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras, President of the Parliament Nikos Voutsis and the leader of main opposition New Democracy Kyriakos Mitsotakis accompanied by their wives attend a dinner at the restaurant of the Acropolis Museum which is held in honor of UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon on the occasion of his two-day visit in Greece.
Earlier, Ban Ki-moon met with Mr. Pavlopoulos at the Presidential Mansion. “We should thank Greece that amid difficult reforms and social issues deals with the refugee crisis by showing solidarity with refugees” said Ban Ki-moon during their meeting, emphasizing that during tomorrow’s visit to Greek island of Lesvos will meet with the refugees and see what more UN can do for them.
Mr. Pavlopoulos thanked him for the way he performed his duties in the framework of solidarity and humanism that corresponds to the UN. He also asked for the agreement with the EU and Turkey on refugee to be supported and thanked the UN Secretary General for his efforts to solve the Cyprus issue.
