Tui upbeat on Greek tourism prospects

Greece was the number one tourist destination in 2016, for the European tour operator TUI Austria, according to the General Manager Liza Veding, during the corporation’s presentation of the special program for 2017 that includes 10 new flights to Greece from Leeds every week.
She said that she is positive that the success marked with Greece in 2016 will continue in the next year. She also said that the company added one direct flight from Leeds to Chania and that the rest direct flights to Greece that will be included in the new program of TUI Austria are to Karpathos, Corfu, two flights to Kos, two to Rhodes, two to Heraklion, two to Chania and one to Zante.

According to the figures of TUI, Greece has outplaced Turkey from the top of the list of the destinations that Austrians prefer for their vacation to the fifth place.
Greece as a destination has been one of the top choices of Austrians for many years, with an average of 400.000 people traveling there each year.
