Cyprus is a small country and being an island it is surrounded by sea. This brings home a reality for the Greek-Cypriots: “If we want our freedom, there is nowhere to retreat!”

So, being prepared for everything is essential. The National Guard of Cyprus is constantly training exactly for that: the protection of Cyprus!
