Equity prices were declining at the opening on Monday on the Athens Stock Exchange (ASE), with the basic share price index down 0.28 percent, standing at 1,219.71 points at 11:00 am, and turnover at 9.48 million euros.
The FTSE/ASE 20 index for blue chip and heavily traded stocks was down 0.22 percent, and the FTSE/ASE MID 40 index was up, 0.24 percent.
Individual sector indices were moving downwards, with the biggest gains in Media, up 3.67 percent; in Real Estate up, 1.39 percent and in Banks, up 0.51 percent.
The biggest losses were in Chemicals, down 2.53 percent; in Raw Materials, 1.25 percent and in Travel and Recreation, down 0.81 percent.
Of the stocks traded, 33 were up, 21 were down, and 7 were unchanged.
