An outbreak of coronavirus was detected at the Israeli embassy in Athens after an official with her family reportedly travelled to the Holy Lands, according to a report by the Times Of Israel newspaper citing a statement by the country’s foreign ministry.
It reportedly involved an embassy employee and two members of her family who travelled from Tel Aviv Airport to Athens with a group of Greek tourists found to be coronavirus positive.
According to the report, the Israeli embassy in Athens will remain closed today, Monday, March 9, for disinfection, while authorities in Greece and Israel will be in close contact on the issue.
As a result, the Ministry of Education has announced that the Israeli Community Kindergarten and Primary School will remain closed until today until March 23.
