French citizens are getting some of their freedoms back from today, as the use of masks outdoors and teleworking are no longer mandatory.

France is the third country in Europe to relax the restrictive measures against the coronavirus, as restrictive measures to tackle the Covid pandemic are easing, despite the fact that the number of patients treated with Covid-19 continues to rise.

The French government’s next step is to reopen the nightclubs and allow concerts, which are expected to take place on 16 February.

Two days later, it was England’s turn to lift most of the restrictions that were still in place and were already milder than the European average: a mask in public places and a vaccination pass for big events.
