Femen members protest against Moulin Rouge

The two ladies attracted the media and the attention of passersby by protesting topless on top of the cabaret

Newsroom October 7 04:55

Two members of “Femen” threw away their tops outside the most renowned cabaret in the world, Moulin Rouge, which was celebrating 125 years of operation.

Protesting against the “sex industry”, two topless women climbed on top of the cabaret, which first opened its doors on October 6, 1889.

According to “Le Figaro” French newspaper, Femen got on top of the rooftop and raised a banner which read: “Red is the color of the revolution”, directly punning the “Rouge” in the cabaret’s title.

Neglecting the cold and rain, the two women bore the cold with perseverance, their naked breasts bearing the saying “Not for sale”. It, naturally, attracted passersby.

Sometime later, the activists were removed by two security guards.
