With 270 votes, ND MP Konstantinos Tasoulas was re-elected President of the Parliament. The candidacy of Tasoulas was supported by the ND, SYRIZA, PASOK, and Hellenic Solution parliamentary groups, while the KKE MPs voted “present”.

“After expressing my warm thanks to the body for my generous re-election and to the president of ND Kyriakos Mitsotakis for proposing my candidacy, allow me to also express my gratitude to the people of Ioannina who for the 10th time in a row nominated me as their representative in the parliament”, Kostas Tasoulas said from the presidium of the Parliament after his re-election.

“I will serve the preparation of the Parliament for the next one that will respond to the people’s will on the June 25 elections. The next Parliament will be fruitful, constructive, and creative. From today we all understand that the fleeting life of the Parliament does not diminish the importance of your election. Thanks to everyone and good fight in the pre-election period”, concluded Mr. Tasoulas in his greeting.
