Greek FM meets Blinken & signs Greece’s accession to the “Artemis” space program

Blinken expressed gratitude for the partnership between the US and Greece

Greek Foreign Minister Giorgos Gerapetritis formalized Greece’s participation in the “Artemis” space collaboration program during a signing ceremony, marking a significant step within the 5th Strategic Dialogue framework between Greece and the United States.

This event concluded the meeting between the Foreign Ministers of the two nations at the State Department on Friday.

Highlighting the robust relationship, the head of the State Department underscored that US-Greece ties are currently at their strongest.

Additionally, Giorgos Gerapetritis extended heartfelt condolences to the families of the five military helicopter crew members who tragically lost their lives in an accident on Thursday.

He referred to the relationship between the two nations within the strategic dialogue, highlighting the ability to craft a shared vision and reinforce policies based on mutual values, aimed at fostering the prosperity of their respective nations and global peace.

The subjects addressed in the 5th Strategic Dialogue encompassed Regional Developments, Defense and Security, Humanitarian Challenges and Disaster Preparedness, Energy and Environment, Law Enforcement and Counterterrorism, Trade and Investment, and the People-to-People connections.
