Authorities in Trikala are still on alert to deal with the consequences of the heavy rainfall that hit the region.

On Saturday morning, the Pinios River overflowed slightly at Zarko, a point which is a flood protection zone, as the waters descend towards Larissa and the estuary.

Yesterday, the Pinios had reached its limits, but after the interventions of the responsible crews, the residents of Valomandri, Parapotamos and Fotada calmed down seeing the tributaries being confined to the main beds.
