A Russian military aircraft crashed into the sea off the port of Sevastopol in Crimea, the Moscow-appointed governor of the region said.
The pilot abandoned the aircraft in time before the crash, using the ejection system. He was picked up by rescuers and is safe.

There is no damage to residential areas, Sevastopol Governor Mikhail Razvozayev said.

Earlier, Russian Telegram channels reported that a Russian Su-35 fighter jet crashed near Sevastopol. It is not yet clear what caused the crash.
