Metron Analysis Poll: ND 32.3%, percentage increase in SYRIZA, PASOK declines

Mitsotakis most fit for prime minster - Two out of three voters support there will be no political stability issue regardless of the outcome in the European elections

According to Metron Analysis poll presented on Mega, New Democracy recorded over two percentage points in voting intention for the upcoming European elections. The ruling party stands at 32.3% in voter estimation, with Kyriakos Mitsotakis gathering 35% in suitability for prime minister, while Stefanos Kasselakis stands at 9%.

SYRIZA also sees a new increase in percentages, reaching 15.4% in voting estimation compared to 15.1% in March, while PASOK continues its declining trend in the polls, losing another percentage point and now standing at 12%.

Regarding the fourth position, Metron Analysis shows the Communist Party of Greece (KKE) in single-digit percentage but ahead of Greek Solution, which exhibits losses of almost 1.5 points in this particular measurement. Apart from New Democracy and the Independent Greeks (ANEL), all right-wing parties besides ND are experiencing losses. It is noteworthy that Aphrodite Latinopoulou’s party loses one percentage point, falling to 1.4%.

Interestingly, Andreas Loverdos the Democrates party which was at  0.8% in March – now finds itself at 1.6%.

Eleftheri Plevsi  shows marginal losses, despite the fact that Zoe Konstantopoulou ranks third in popularity among political leaders, after Kyriakos Mitsotakis and Dimitris Koutsoumpas, while Nikos Androulakis remains in fourth place, and Stefanos Kasselakis surpasses Kyriakos Velopoulos.

Meanwhile, interest in the European elections is increasing – reaching 66% from 61% in March.

Biggest issue – price hikes 

Price hikes continue to be considered by far the biggest problem for citizens, although the trend is slightly declining compared to March. However, impressions of the government’s handling of inflation remain extremely negative – 7 out of 10 do not judge it positively – while negative opinions about tackling crime remain very high.
