UPDATE:
—————————————————————————————————————–
After a 13-year absence from a Euroleague Final Four, Panathinaikos returned to the 7th final of the competition and secured their 7th star.
Under the guidance of Ergin Ataman and Kostas Sloukas, Panathinaikos triumphed over last year’s champions, Real Madrid, with a score of 95-80 in the grand final of the Euroleague.
They upheld the tradition that the team finishing first in the regular season does not lift the trophy and brought thousands of their fans out onto the streets.
The European champions’ delegation is expected to land at Eleftherios Venizelos airport around 13:30, with the players asking the fans to wait for them at the airport.
In fact, Ergin Ataman’s team will be greeted by an open-top bus at the airport, bearing the message: ‘King is back.’
Panathinaikos will travel from the airport to OAKA in the open-top bus, with the celebration continuing throughout the journey.
