The Hellenic National Meteorological Service (EMY) forecasts generally clear weather for today, Monday (June 17), with a slight increase in temperature and light winds on the mainland.
However, local or isolated showers and thunderstorms are expected.
Mainland temperatures will reach up to 37 degrees Celsius, while in the Dodecanese and Crete, temperatures will locally reach 35-36 degrees Celsius.
Better conditions are expected in the island regions, where the maximum temperature will be 32-33 degrees Celsius.
Specifically, in Attica, the weather will be clear with temporary clouds and local showers in the western parts during the midday and afternoon hours. The temperature will reach 36 degrees Celsius, and winds will be light.

Similarly, in Thessaloniki, the weather will be clear with light winds and a chance of local showers. The temperature will reach 34 degrees Celsius.
Meanwhile, in large parts of the country, especially the Peloponnese, Central Greece, much of Thessaly, and Central Macedonia, the risk of fire outbreak and spread will be high and, in some areas, very high.
