The Molotov bomb targeted a patrol vehicle and a lookout point, causing a fire that destroyed the police vehicle. Simultaneously, a police officer on duty sustained injuries to his face and hands and was promptly taken to the 401 General Military Hospital in Athens.
Fortunately, his injuries were not life-threatening. The Fire Department was called to extinguish the patrol vehicle’s blaze. Despite extensive searches in the surrounding area, no arrests have been made, and the perpetrators remain unidentified. State Security personnel leading the investigation are reviewing security camera footage in an effort to identify and apprehend those responsible for the attack.
