Members of a family of tourists who were attacked by Greeks partying in a bar on a main street in Heraklion were taken to hospital in a bad condition with blows all over their bodies and faces.
Information from patris.gr says that even with chairs the four attackers, who police say are unknown, beat a 41-year-old woman from Iceland, her 49-year-old husband from Canada and the family’s two sons aged 21 and 18.
The same reports say the road was filled with ambulances to pick up the injured. All four foreigners were taken to hospital.
The mother and children were discharged after being given first aid, while the 49-year-old Canadian man is still being treated at Venizelio.
