A rescue operation is underway in Acheron for two Dutch tourists who are trapped on a cliff and cannot get down.
Fire brigade forces from Paramythia and the mountaineering team of the 5th EMAK of Ioannina are rushing to the area to rescue the two tourists.
From the very first rescue operation for three hikers last Saturday, the Fire Brigade and the volunteer organization Hellenic Search and Rescue Association of Kanalaki had pointed out the danger of the path, and the latter, in a statement, asked to close the path from both starting points until the necessary interventions are made, so that an even more serious incident does not occur.
