Attack on police officers during raid on Roma camp – Four injured, two arrests

One of the policemen was seriously injured.

A team from OPKE patrolling in Nea Zoi, Aspropyrgos, was violently attacked with sticks, stones, and other objects while approaching a house in the Roma camp for a peace disturbance. One officer required stitches to his head as a result of the assault. In total, four officers were injured by throwing objects. Following the attack, the police team was reinforced with three additional units and returned to the scene, arresting two Roma individuals, aged 31 and 38. The police vehicle sustained damage during the incident, and the Aspropyrgos police station is conducting a preliminary investigation.
