PASOK elections: Percentages of leadership candidates by region

The rural vote determined the victory of Nikos Androulakis – See which regions each candidate won

Nikos Androulakis and Haris Doukas will compete for the PASOK leadership next Sunday, October 13, following the results of the recent election.

The teams of the two presidential candidates are already analyzing the results of the first round, assessing their strengths and weaknesses in each region.

Nikos Androulakis won in 9 out of 13 regions. According to the data, he led in Eastern Macedonia and Thrace, Crete, North Aegean, Western Macedonia, Thessaly, Central Macedonia, South Aegean, Peloponnese, and Central Greece. Unsurprisingly, his highest percentage was in Crete, his homeland.

Pavlos Geroulanos, although he finished third in total votes, secured first place in two regions: the Ionian Islands and Attica.

Haris Doukas came first only in Epirus.

Final results of the first round of PASOK elections:

  • Nikos Androulakis: 29.64% and 89,200 votes
  • Haris Doukas: 21.41% and 64,490 votes
  • Pavlos Geroulanos: 21.12% and 63,632 votes
  • Anna Diamantopoulou: 19.52% and 58,899 votes
  • Michalis Katrinis: 6.03% and 18,163 votes
  • Nadia Giannakopoulou: 2.29% and 6,890 votes
