Serbian President Alexander Vučić said he would never agree to set up reception and identification centers for illegal migrants for the European Union on Serbian territory and that he had not been asked to do so by the prime ministers of EU member states Slovakia and Hungary.
The Slovak government office said yesterday that external centers for asylum procedures outside the European Union, so-called reception and identification centers, could be an “innovative solution” to illegal migration.
“It was not discussed and never crossed my mind that Serbia would become a reception and identification center,” Vučić said after he met with Viktor Orban and Robert Fijo.
