Video appeal from Kasselakis: If you don’t vote for delegates, they won’t let me run

"The legitimately elected president of SYRIZA will be excluded and bureaucracy and mechanisms will have won", the president of SYRIZA said in his post.

Newsroom November 2 01:20

In a recent video, Stefanos Kasselakis urges SYRIZA members to vote for delegates this weekend as he tours his new offices. He emphasizes the urgency of their participation, stating, “For those of you thinking, ‘I’ll vote for him at the polls in late November,’ that’s not enough! If you don’t vote for delegates this weekend, I won’t be allowed to run. The duly elected president of SYRIZA could be disqualified. Bureaucracy and its mechanisms will triumph over your voice,” asserts Kasselakis, who identifies himself as the president of SYRIZA.

He continues, “I’m speaking directly to you, the members of SYRIZA, and the people of Greece. If you believe you can just wait until the end of November to vote, think again! If you don’t cast your vote for delegates this weekend, you’re jeopardizing my candidacy. This is about more than just one candidate; it’s about democracy itself.” He encourages everyone registered with SYRIZA to verify their voting eligibility and location, underscoring, “We hold the power of the vote, the power of democracy, and the power of #Em_Edo. Together, we can change everything.”
