Swimming is a year-round lifestyle, and we are now counting down to the biggest winter sports event, the 19th Winter Swimming Crossing of Vouliagmeni, which will be hosted in Vouliagmeni Bay.
For the 19th consecutive year, the Vouliagmeni Nautical Club, the “Champions’ Club,” continues its tradition in water sports with quality and success.
This event, which brings together amateur nature lovers and swimming athletes, will take place on Sunday, December 1st.
In the unique setting of Vouliagmeni Bay, there will be three alternative routes: 750m, 1,500m, and 3,000m, for participants who are 14 years old and up, either with wetsuits or without. The safety of the participants will be ensured by the experienced Lifeguard Hellas team, and the start will take place in the water.
After last year’s great response to the initiative by the N.O.V. team to add an event for younger children (ages 8-13) in the N.O.V. pool, the event will be repeated this year.
Thus, in the 19th Winter Swimming Crossing, parents can bring their children aged 8-13 to participate in swimming races (50m & 100m) in the heated outdoor pool of N.O.V., under the supervision of qualified coaches.
All proceeds from the 19th Winter Swimming Crossing of Vouliagmeni will go to support the sports schools of the non-profit nautical sports association of N.O.V., promoting water sports among children.
