Addressing the 25th annual Greek Economy Conference by the American-Hellenic Chamber of Commerce in Athens, Infrastructure, Transport and Networks Minister Michalis Chryssohoidis said that all Greeks will have accessibility to high-speed internet by 2020.
More specifically, the minister said all Greeks will have accessibility to internet services of over 30Mbps by 2020, and at least 50% of Greek families will have access to internet speeds of over 100Mbps.
Mr. Chryssohoidis noted that the budget for these targets will exceed 2.8 billion euros by 2020, perhaps reaching as high as 4.3 billion euros.
The project will be funded largely by the private sector, the minister added.
