The call was made shortly after 6:00 p.m., and officers from the Hellenic Police quickly arrived at the scene to investigate.

Upon entering the house, they were immediately struck by a strong odor and discovered black garbage bags in the attic. The Homicide Division was promptly informed and instructed that nothing be disturbed.

The husband told the police that he killed her with a hammer and his bare hands out of jealousy. He claimed that at the time, the children were at school. While it remains unclear if this is accurate, what is certain is that the children had been living in the house throughout the following days.
