Thessaloniki: 11-year-old girl loses parents in metro – ELAS police assisted her

The police found the parents of the minor within 10 minutes after they spotted her at Agia Sophia station

An 11-year-old girl of Israeli origin was spotted on Thursday afternoon, at the “Aghia Sophia” station of the Thessaloniki Metro, by police officers of the Patrol Department of the Thessaloniki Police Directorate after they found that the Eurasian girl was moving restlessly in the area.

When questioned by police officers, the 11-year-old said she was in Thessaloniki with her parents as part of a leisure trip but had lost sight of them and was looking for them.

Immediately the police officers, in cooperation with a competent Metro employee, located the parents of the minor, who picked her up.

According to reports, the incident occurred at 17:15 and the police officers managed to locate the parents of the minor within ten minutes.
