A serious traffic accident occurred at the intersection of Athens and Nicosia streets when a tanker truck crashed into a houseyard.

The Serbian driver of the tanker, which was carrying oil, lost control of the vehicle on the bend and crashed onto the pavement, destroying a picket wall and railings, and ending up in the yard of a house.

Fortunately, there was no one outside or on the sidewalk at the time. Previously the tanker had also swept away a motorbike on Ellinos Stratiotou Street.

A traffic police bicyclist immediately arrived at the scene to take over the process of recording and investigating the accident.
