The Chief of the Hellenic Air Force General Staff (HAFGS), Air Marshal (I) Demosthenes Grigoriadis, visited today, Monday, December 30, as part of the New Year’s celebrations, the 133rd Combat Wing in Kastelli, the 11th Guided Missiles Squadron, as well as the 358th Search and Rescue Squadron in Heraklion, Crete.
As announced by the HAFGS, the Chief of the Air Force was accompanied by the Commander of the Air Support Command, Air Marshal (I) Apostolos Chortis, as well as the Commanders of the 340 Squadron, Wing Commander (I) Charilaos Nikou, and the 358 Squadron, Wing Commander (I) Stylianos Tsolakidis.
The Chief of the Air Force was received by the Commanders of the 133rd Combat Wing and the 11th Guided Missiles Squadron, Wing Commander (I) Vasileios Kroustalis and Wing Commander (Ret.) Georgios Tzormpatzakis, respectively.
During his visit, the Chief of the Air Force engaged in conversations and exchanged wishes with the personnel of the units, as well as with the pilots and technicians of the alert aircraft and readiness helicopter.
Upon his return, it was added in the announcement, he visited the 112th Combat Wing at the Elefsina Air Base, where he conversed and exchanged wishes with the unit’s personnel.
