A “significant number” of countries are willing to provide peacekeeping military forces to Ukraine, should a peace agreement with Russia be reached, a spokesperson for British Prime Minister Keir Starmer stated today.
“More than 30 countries are expected to take part in the so-called ‘coalition of the willing’ in support of Ukraine,” the spokesperson emphasized.
“The level of contributions will vary, but this will be a substantial force, with a significant number of nations providing troops,” he added while speaking to reporters.
Ukraine to Send Negotiators to London
Meanwhile, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that he has instructed Defense Minister Rustem Umerov to form a negotiation team that will coordinate with international partners on Ukraine’s security framework and the implementation of decisions made at the military-political level.
In a statement posted on social media, Zelensky confirmed that the team will travel to London this week to participate in a meeting of “military representatives.”
