Fire broke out at noon on Tuesday (10/6) in low vegetation in Anavyssos.

The fire is burning near houses and 45 firefighters with 13 vehicles, 1 hiking team of the 1st EMODE, 4 aircraft and 2 helicopters are working to extinguish the fire. Assistance from water trucks of OTAs.

The fire is burning near houses and a message was sent from 112 to those in Anavyssos and Palaia Fokaia to move away towards Athens. At the same time, Lavrio is closed from the height of Karamanli towards Synterina.

45 firefighters with 13 vehicles, 1 hiking team of the 1st EMODE, 4 aircraft, and 2 helicopters are attempting to extinguish it. Assistance from local government water tankers.

As fire meteorologist Theodoros Giannaros pointed out in a statement to protothema.gr, Citizens should be particularly careful given that strong winds will continue to blow tomorrow. Both today and tomorrow are expected to be quite difficult, while the danger level is at level 3. Fire fronts have already broken out both in Lesvos, where 112 was also called, and in Abdera, Xanthi.
