Curfew extended until Monday in Halkidiki due to very high fire risk

It applies to areas in the municipalities of Kassandra, Sithonia, Aristotle, and Polygyros

The ban on the movement of pedestrians and all types of vehicles, due to a very high risk of forest fire, in areas of the municipalities of Kassandra, Sithonia, Aristotle, and Polygyros, is being extended by decision of the Deputy Regional Governor of Halkidiki, Aikaterini Zografou.

Specifically, from 8:00 a.m. on August 15, 2025, until 8:00 a.m. on August 18, 2025, the circulation ban applies to the following areas:

  • In the Kassandra Peninsula: “Ridge” (from Kassandrino to Agia Paraskevi, “Arapis” and “Chalkovouni” in the Local Community of Paliouri)
  • In the Sithonia Peninsula: Dragoundeli Ridge (from the Beekeeping Cooperative to Sykia)
  • In the Municipality of Aristotle: (from Komitsa to Ouranoupoli – Tsamia of Stratoniki – Fysoka – Shooting Range of Stratoni)
  • In the mountainous area of Cholomontas: (Reforestation areas in the Vrastama region, the area under the responsibility of the University Forest of Taxiarchis)
