German tabloid Bild reported that the list that the Greek government is planning to submit to its EU partners includes measures that could bring more than 7 bln euros to the Greek economy. The Bild cites an unnamed government source that states that the Greek government wants to garner 1.5 bln euros by clamping down on fuel smuggling, 800 mln euros by clamping down on tobacco smuggling, 2.5 bln euros by taxing oligarchs and seeking revenue from the rich as well as 2.5 bln euros by chasing down unpaid taxes from individuals and companies. The paper estimates that the Greek government hopes to raise about 7.3 bln euros in revenues.
