Russian president Vladimir Putin excluded the possibility of an apocalyptic scenario for Ukraine, during his interview in Rossia-1 TV network.

The Russian president stated that he doesn’t consider a scenario of a war between Russia and Ukraine as possible and wished against it.

He stated that if the Minsk accords for a ceasefire in eastern Ukraine and the withdrawal of heavy weaponry, are followed, then it is a surefire way of alleviating the situation in the country.

The Russian president also stated that he does not consider a new meeting with French, German and Ukrainian heads of state, necessary.

Mr. Putin also characterized Kiev’s claims as “silly”, according to which Kremlin officials are behind the Kiev bloodshed a year ago.
