UK Prime Minister David Cameron is to meet the Russian President Vladimir Putin on Friday, when the two men attend commemorations of the 70th anniversary of the D-Day landings in Normandy.
The two leaders will have face-to-face talks over the Ukraine crisis, according to Downing Street’s announcement
More specifically, the British PM’s official spokesman said: “It is an important opportunity to set out the importance of a dialogue between the Russian government and the new Ukrainian government, following the presidential elections that have happened over the last week or so in Ukraine.”
