A 26-year-old woman was savagely attacked by a man who wanted to rob her this morning in Korydallos.

According to reports, the incident happened at 6.20 am when the woman was near a bus stop at the junction of Xenophontos and Suri streets. Then an unknown man riding a motorbike and wearing a helmet approached her and tried to rob her.

Specifically, he tried to forcibly wrestle her bag from her, so that the 26-year-old resisted, and he punched her in the face. However, the girl did not give up, continued to resist, and managed to throw him off the bike.

The man fell to the ground, quickly grabbed the woman’s wallet, and fled on foot. The motorcycle was left at the scene and, as the investigation by the police revealed, had been stolen the previous time.

An investigation is underway to locate and arrest him.
