Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and his US counterpart Marko Rubio will soon have a telephone conversation, Russian news agency RIA reported, citing Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Ryabkov.

Ryabkov did not specify the time frame of the meeting. The venue also remains unclear.

Rubio and Lavrov will discuss the bilateral agenda of Russian-American relations, which will include economic issues.

In the coming days, Russian and U.S. officials are expected to discuss in the coming days preparations for a new summit between Presidents Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin, following their recent phone call last week.
