Erdogan held a telephone call with the Prime Minister of Libya’s Government of National Accord, Abdul Hamid Dbeibah.

During the phone call, bilateral relations between Turkey and Libya, as well as regional issues, were discussed.

Erdogan stated that Turkey is closely monitoring developments in Libya and will continue to do what is required in order to safeguard security and stability.

The Turkish president also said that cooperation between Turkey and Libya in many sectors is important, especially in the energy sector, and that efforts carried out in solidarity to protect the rights and interests of the two countries in the Eastern Mediterranean will continue.
